Women in Bus and Coach and routeone column to launch in 2025

20 Dec 2024

Women in Bus and Coach (WiBC) has partnered with routeone to launch an opinion column. It will debut in January 2025 in print and online and as a monthly fixture alongside existing opinion content.

The advocacy organisation, which has seen strong momentum since its launch in June 2023, says its contributions will serve as a space to highlight progress being made, spotlight inspirational figures, and discuss practical ways to make coach, bus and community transport workplaces more inclusive.

Readers can look forward to updates on WiBC initiatives, including the Period Positive Workplace campaign; the organisation’s new ambassador programme; and highlights from regional and national events. Interviews, success stories and practical advice will “support operators and individuals in fostering a culture of equality”, the organisation adds.

The launch comes after WiBC says it recognised routeone as a platform to share insights, celebrate achievements, and drive important conversations around inclusivity across the sector.

WiBC Chair Louise Cheeseman (pictured) comments: “At Women in Bus and Coach, we’re committed to championing the talent, innovation, and hard work that keeps our industry moving. Partnering with routeone, a publication that reaches and engages so many key players in the sector, allows us to share our vision more widely than ever before.

“This column is about driving real change and creating opportunities for everyone to thrive. We want this to be a conversation with the industry — a chance to share knowledge, learn from each other, and ultimately create a brighter future for all.”
