ECMT Permit: DfT issues important reminder to apply by Friday 20 November

10 Nov 2020

The ECMT application window opened last week and will close on Friday 20 November.

Time is ticking by so please use this period between now and 20 November to apply.

Late applications will not be accepted.

If developments on negotiations or a contingency measure for haulage access between the UK and EU are likely to mean any changes to the need to apply for an ECMT permit, further guidance will be provided.

EU Transition: Hauliers Information & Advice Sites open

You and your drivers can now visit Information and Advice Sites across the UK for advice on how to prepare for the end of the transition period.

5 pilot Information and Advice Sites were opened on the 2 November with a further 40 locations opening on 16 November at motorway service stations and truck stops.

The pilot sites can be found in Rugby Stobart Truck Stop, Warrington Lymm, Carlisle Stobart Truck Stop, Ashford International Truck Stop and Cullompton. A full list of sites will be available shortly.

All sites follow the latest Covid-19 guidelines. You are reminded to follow social distancing rules, wear a face covering indoors and wash hands.
