Dormant Companies must file accounts each year

7 Oct 2022

All limited companies, whether they trade or not, must deliver annual accounts and a confirmation statement to Companies House each year.

This includes dormant companies.

Company directors are legally responsible for running the company and making sure the accounts and reports are properly prepared and filed on time.  This may not be at the high on the agenda of tasks for directors, but even if they do not intend to continue the business or receive any income they must still file the accounts and send Companies House confirmation statements every year.
